DISC-TBI is proud to congratulate the successful graduates of the WIPO-IPOPHL Summer School on Intellectual Property in Emerging Economies.
DISC-TBI has strengthened its capabilities in guiding and managing intellectual property (IP) for its startups, following its participation in the WIPO-IPOPHIL Summer School on Intellectual Property in Emerging Economies. This 10-day training program, organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHIL), provided DISC-TBI with comprehensive knowledge of various IP domains. Through lectures, panel discussions, practical exercises, and research paper writing on intellectual property, DISC-TBI gained valuable insights into the relationship between IP and sustainable development in emerging economies.
Representing DISC-TBI, the training was attended by the TBI Project Lead, Dr. Betchie E. Aguinaldo, along with TBI Legal Consultants, Atty. Charlene Joy Quintos and Atty. Leonard Rey Aguinaldo. With this newly acquired expertise, DISC-TBI is now equipped to offer Intellectual Property guidance as one of its core services to its startups/Incubatees . This service will help homegrown founders protect their innovations and navigate the complexities of intellectual property rights, ensuring that their cutting-edge technologies are safeguarded.
DISC-TBI’s participation in the WIPO-IPOPHIL Summer School demonstrates its commitment to supporting sustainable growth and empowering local innovators in the Cagayan Valley region.
