DISC-TBI Participates in DOST PCIEERD’s HEIRIT Conference 2024

The DOST ISU Smart City Technology Business Incubator (DISC-TBI) team actively participated in the Higher Education Institution Readiness for Innovation and Technopreneurship (HEIRIT) Conference, held at Adamson University in Manila from June 4-8, 2024.


Organized by DOST PCIEERD RITTD and Upgrade Innolab Inc., the HEIRIT Conference brought together representatives from all DOST PCIEERD-funded incubators and DOST Regional Offices. The week-long event provided a valuable platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration.


The conference agenda included presentations and discussions on the revision of TBI and ReSEED program guidelines. Esteemed international speakers shared best practices in incubator management, offering valuable insights for participants managing incubators in the Philippines. Additionally, incubator representatives presented their experiences in assisting startups on their journeys towards entering the global market.


A dedicated workshop was held for HEIRIT TBIs, focusing on practical skills development such as crafting value propositions, identifying crucial ecosystem support structures, and conducting value chain analysis. These workshops equipped participants with the necessary tools and frameworks to further strengthen their support for startups within their respective incubators.


The HEIRIT Conference proved to be a productive and enriching experience for the TBIs in the Philippines. The knowledge gained and connections established will undoubtedly contribute to the continued growth and success of their respective incubation programs.
