The DOST ISU Smart City Technology Business Incubator (DISC-TBI) co-organized with the DICT Region 02 – Cagayan Valley for the conduct of the Regional Startup Awareness Caravan at Quirino State University (QSU), June 14.

Mr. Matt Matias, DISC-TBI Project Development Officer, delivered a brief lecture on Design Thinking. He also presented the background of Smart City TBI, its incubation program, as well as its incubation tracks for students and faculty researchers. These presentations helped the QSuans understand the concept of a startup and the role of a technology business incubator (TBI) in the enhancement and commercialization of researches.

This event is part of the celebration of National ICT Month, which is annually conducted in the month of June. The event was attended by students from different colleges of QSU.
