Anchored in nurturing and involving industry and academe in developing innovative solutions utilizing smart city technologies, the Smart City-TBI led the inception meeting to unveil the next major event of the year – leveling the support to become an innovative hub in the Cagayan Valley Region.

Introducing the Industry Academe Congress on Technologies for Smart City (iACT4SmartCity) x IDEATECH 2024, Smart City TBI aims to bring together Region 02 innovation partners, including the CHED Regional Office 2, DTI Region 2, DICT Region 02 – Cagayan Valley, DOST – Region 2, Hackthenorth, PSITE Cagayan Valley, esteemed Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Region 02 and SINAG Cagayan Valley to amplify the impact of the innovation agenda on the academic community.

The inception meeting centered on presenting the event objectives and timeline, which gathered suggestions and feedback from prominent representatives in Region 02 partner agencies. Further, it intends to seek support in strengthening the commitment to inspire innovators and position the region to support the country’s smart city development efforts.
