The Smart City Technology Business Incubator (Smart City TBI) has initiated a meeting with Cauayan City Mayor Caesar “JC” Dy Jr. to explore the possibility of institutionalizing the incubator through a proposed ordinance.

The TBI aims to foster a thriving startup ecosystem in the city and the entire Cagayan Valley region. Through its incubation program and tracks such as the iDeaTech Challenge, iDea PLUS, and Startup THRIVE, the TBI supports aspiring entrepreneurs in developing smart city technologies.

The proposed ordinance seeks to establish Cauayan City as a hub for innovation by providing incentives and support to startups. It also recognizes the Smart City TBI as a key player in driving economic and social development in the city.
